Aims

The aim of this workshop is to make you aware of the importance of taking into account the various options available within the Microsoft Word application and to use them to greatest effect in creating a professional piece of work that meets the academic standards of university level work.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the workshop you will:

  • Appreciate the value of developing skills in Microsoft word.

  • Be able to  Include a header – Student number/Course title, add page numbers, include an image, format text and justify your paragraphs, use  BOLD, Italic, Underline and bullet point, know how to cut, copy and paste,

  • Be able to save a copy to your documents.

  • Be able to print a document.

  • Know where to find and how to use the ‘find’ feature.

  • Understand what key board shortcuts are and what they can do.
