This workshop is aimed at first and second year students, although third years are welcome to attend.
Aim
Attendees at the workshop will be able to access information efficiently and effectively. Understand the different types of information available to them and the characteristics of each.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of the session students will:

Be able to give examples of the services and support offered by Learning Services

Understand the nature and characteristics of different types of material, including:
Books, Journals (scholarly) and popular trade journals, Newspapers, Webpage -
Know how the first point of access for University of Suffolk Libraries on the MyUniversity of Suffolk page

Be able to search for a book in Summon

Be able to search for a journal article in Summon, understand how filters can be applied to limit and refine searches

Be able to access the article once in the database, print, email or download

Clarify any problems, issues identified during the session
