Referencing Refresher (UoS Harvard and APA)

Looking for a referencing refresher? This session offers a reminder of the essentials of referencing, as well an opportunity to ask questions and explore referencing of less common types of sources.
 
Aim
To consolidate students existing knowledge of referencing and develop confidence in referencing and wider range of sources types
 
Learning outcomes
The end of this session students will be able to:

  1.  Identify and avoid common errors in formatting references
  2. Apply referencing guidance to a wide range of source types (e.g. government and legal documents, digital and internet course, media and art)
  3. Recognise the place of referencing within generic UoS marking criteria
