Eco Anxiety pop up cinema and lunch

Eco Anxiety pop up cinema and lunch

In recognition of World Mental Health Day, the University Sustainability Team are pleased to present a special event focused on the important topic of Eco-Anxiety. Directed by Jean-Francois Rodrigues, the short film "Eco-Anxiety" tells the story of a teenager's journey through climate anxiety. A sentiment increasingly shared by young people worldwide who grapple with a future over which they feel they have limited control.

At its heart, this film explores the profound impact of anxiety. It sheds light on how unaddressed anxiety can evolve into more complex challenges. This event aims to foster discussion, share perspectives, and offer a platform for participants to voice their feelings in a supportive environment.

Join us for pizza and drinks post-viewing to gently explore the emotions that Eco-Anxiety brings to the surface, whilst we finish the event sharing with you some positive stories of global and local efforts to combat climate change, both on an international scale and right here at the University.
