WHAT THIS SESSION COVERS
In this session, we will look at structuring your Brightspace module with folders, subfolders and topics along with best practice methods for clear naming conventions.
We will also explore ways you can give your modules a sense of narrative, voice and personality.
PREPARE FOR THIS SESSION
Before attending, please ensure that you’ve completed the accompanying activities, as there will not be time within the session to cover the workflows set out in the training materials. If you have tried to follow any workflows but are struggling, please email learningservices@uos.ac.uk to request support.

WHAT WE WILL DO IN THIS SESSION
Recap the structural components of any module or course area in Brightspace
Look at examples of folder, subfolder and topic structure, looking for good (and not-so-good) practice
Analyse the names of folders and topics in terms of how easily a student can find what they’re looking for
Write topic descriptions and linking text for some topics in your module
